Student to ride around the lake for causes

South Tahoe High School sophomore Mykala Muskovitz is seeking donations to help her sponsor a dancer or donate gloves and hats for children.

Muskovitz plans to ride around the lake in order to raise money for the causes. She first rode around the lake as an eighth-grader at South Tahoe Middle School to raise money to help the women’s center buy hats and gloves for children, and to help the Boys & Girls Club buy bikes for children. She raised $1,500 with the help of local business owners and community members.

Muskovitz is a dancer who hopes to raise enough money this year to sponsor another dancer at Marcia Sarosik Dance studio through the studio’s outreach program, Lake Tahoe’s Shining Stars.

She would also like to continue to donate gloves and hats for children at Live Violence Free.

To help Muskovitz, donations can be mailed to her at 3511 Pony Express Road, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.
