Two Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies in training have graduated from the Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training law enforcement academy, Sheriff Ron Pierini announced Monday.
Deputies Sean Thaler and Steven Miller graduated from the academy on Friday, Nov. 15. They attended the academy for four months.
The Stewart Training Facility in Carson City instructs law enforcement cadets in a host of law enforcement and public safety topics.
Thaler is a graduate of Douglas High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. Miller is a graduate of San Ramon High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
