AARP is looking for volunteers to help with its 2014 Tax Aide Program.
AARP is looking for people who like to work with numbers, have some computer skills and enjoy meeting and helping people. The Tax Aide Program offers free assistance and counseling for low to moderate income citizens. Last year, it helped more than 500 people in the community complete their tax returns, a press release stated. Training is provided and all volunteers are certified prior to the tax season. Bilingual, especially Spanish speakers, are encouraged to sign up. Training will take place in January. Tax preparation will begin in February.
If you are interested in working with a team of individuals who prepare tax returns for the community, contact Virginia at 530-544-1824. For more information, visit www.aarp.org/aarp-foundation and look for the AARP Foundation Tax Aide icon.
