Frank and Suzan Forvilly

Frank and Suzan Forvilly are celebrating their 50 year anniversary on Sept. 3. They were married in Reno at the Presbyterian Church in 1966 after Frank’s graduation from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Frank was a teacher and basketball coach at Whittell High School in Zephyr Cove, and Suzan substitute taught at the elementary and middle schools.

They opened the Round Hill Pines Beach Resort for the Bourne family in 1971 and continued operating the business until 2013.

They have three sons, Scott M. Forvilly, DDS, In Winnemucca, Nev., Ryan C. Forvilly, owner and operator of the Tahoe Bleu Wave, residing in Zephyr Cove, and Luke K. Forvilly, a Commercial Realtor in Portland, Oregon. They are proud grandparents to Sierra, a senior at the University of Oregon, Jake, University of Nevada, Samantha, Kaela and Jack all students in Zephyr Cove and Douglas County High School.

After 42 years of living in Lake Tahoe, Frank and Suzan are now residents in Gardnerville and feel very fortunate to be able too retire in the quiet and scenic valley community that they love.
