Sponsors wanted for community fair

Organizers are looking for sponsors for the Kiwanis Community Fair, which will take place Labor Day weekend in South Lake Tahoe.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Tahoe Turning Point, Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe, Live Violence Free, and Choices for Children. The event is the brainchild of Kiwanis of Lake Tahoe President Rich Barna.

“I wanted to put together an event that pulled the resources of multiple Service Organizations, that could keep growing, that directly benefits multiple Youth-serving non-profit organizations, and that is fun for everyone!” Barna stated in a press release.

Heavenly/Vail Resorts Tent Sale & Ski Swap & Kiwanis Community Fair will take center stage at Heavenly California Base parking lots Aug. 30 through Sept. 1.

Three levels of sponsorship are available: Gold $5,000, Silver $1,000 and Bronze $500. Sponsors will be able to promote their business to the estimated 2,500 who attend the tent sale each year. To learn more about the Kiwanis Community Fair, contact Tahoe Turning Point at 530-545-0891 or visit
