A man hit by a motor vehicle Aug. 10 on U.S. Highway 50 near Stateline died Aug. 23 as a result of his injuries, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
Cody Dobson, 31, was struck by a full-size Dodge pickup early morning Aug. 10 when he either stumbled or walked into oncoming traffic in the casino corridor east of the MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa, a NHP news release stated.
One witness who stopped to help Dobson told officers said he saw a person lying in the street in one of the eastbound travel lanes early morning Aug. 10. When the witness turned his vehicle around to help, he saw a full-size Dodge pickup hit a man.
NHP stated the blue dodge Dodge may have a camper shell matching the color of the vehicle.
Dobson was transported to Barton Memorial Hospital before he was flown to Renown Regional Medical Center via CALSTAR, and he died 13 days later. Authorities with Nevada Highway Patrol stated in a news release alcohol appears to be a factor in Dobson’s death.
