South Lake Tahoe residents and businesses are invited to learn more about future possibilities for the Lake Tahoe Airport and share their ideas for the property at an airport master plan meeting Thursday, Feb. 13.
The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers at the airport and starts at 5:30 p.m.
C&S Companies is creating a new master plan to address the airport’s needs and promote its value to the community, while also “incorporating sustainable practices into its long-term development,” according to a city news release.
The meeting will provide an overview of the master plan process and a description of how the public can provide input.
A Federal Aviation Administration planning grant is paying for 90 percent of the cost of the master plan study, which will also examine the feasibility of restoring commercial service at Lake Tahoe Airport.
When it becomes available, a draft of the airport master plan will be posted online at www.cityofslt.us/airport.
