Kirby Keller (K.K.) Randall

March 3, 1922 - July 1, 2014

Kirby was born in Gloster, Mississippi to Florence and Alpheus (Bob) Randall. He passed on at his home in Stockton, Ca.surrounded by his wife, Nhan; children, Flo, Laura and Eric. He grew up in Mississippi and Louisiana, farming and sharecropping with his parents. At age 18 he relocated to California to enlist in the Conservation Corps. Shortly afterward he went into the Coast Guard and transferred to the Navy during World War II. He was a radio operator on a PBY aircraft in Greenland. He attended U.C. Berkeley and graduated from Stanford with a degree in Electronics. He raised a family in Mt. View with his beloved wife, Muriel, of sixty years. He worked for Sylvania, GTE and was a key member of mini-computer pioneer, Rolm Corporation, as an electronics engineer. After retiring he lived with his wife, Muriel, at Elk Point, Lake Tahoe for 22 years. He loved to fish and enjoyed skiing and working on his computer. He volunteered to help the South Lake Tahoe Ham Radio Club for their annual bike race. He also volunteered to help Senior Citizens with their income taxes for many years. He was a long time supporter of the A.C.L.U.. He was very generous and loving to family, friends and anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to cross his path.

A memorial will be held at their home at 3724 Oak Forest Avenue, Stockton, Ca.
