Feb. 14, 1934 – July 7, 2014
On July 7, 2014, “Terry” Frink, age 80, passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside, after a brief illness.
Terry was born in Des Moines, Iowa and lived there until he joined the US Air Force, before he graduated high school at the age of 17. After four years in the Air Force he moved back to Des Moines where he met his wife, Joy. They shared their life together for the next 57 years.
In 1964, Terry and Joy moved to South Lake Tahoe, where they loved and enjoyed the community, raised their family, and made long lasting friendships.
Terry began as a volunteer with the county fire crew, which lead to a 27 year career with the City of South Lake Tahoe Fire Department.
Terry was very involved with Little League and Babe Ruth baseball. He helped with field maintenance, coaching teams, and served as President for many years. He even helped with the snack shack with his wife Joy and daughter Teresa. He was also involved in the Heavenly Valley Blue Angels ski team, as he supported his son, Terry, as a young racer.
After retirement from the fire department, Terry and Joy moved to Stockton, Ca. where they lived on a boat in the Delta. Their next
adventure took them to Kissimmee, Florida, where he enjoyed bowling, golf, making new friends and spending time with his family.
A Traditional Catholic Funeral was held in remembrance on July 11, 2014 at Oceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Florida.
Terry is survived by his wife, Joy of 57 years. His son, Terry Jr.
(Andrea); daughter, Teresa (Mark) Lundberg; and grandchildren, Koby, Aaron, McKinney and Kolby.
