Donna Feliciano, 60, of South Lake Tahoe, passed away on November 13, 2013. She was born on January 8th, 1953 to the late Donald and Anna Thorup, in Oakland, Ca.
Donna met her husband, Ross, in 1972. They lived and worked in Yosemite, where they enjoyed hiking and climbing together. In 1974, Donna and Ross moved to South Lake Tahoe, where they raised their sons, Ryan and Eric. Donna recently retired from Lake Tahoe Unified School District after 20 years, where she worked as a Para educator with special education students. Donna was extremely dedicated to her students. She was known and loved for her unique style, dedication and wit.
Donna adored her Grandsons, Kieran and Jacob, and enjoyed watching them play various sports. Aura, her granddaughter, was the apple of her eye. Donna enjoyed spending time with her late sister and best friend, Carol Thorup, who was a Global wine maker with Blossom Hill Winery, in Paicines, California. The two of them enjoyed traveling together throughout the country and abroad.
Donna loved Lake Tahoe, and she enjoyed spending her time hiking, rock-hounding, and playing with the dogs at the Truckee River. She was very compassionate and always willing to help anyone in need.
Donna is survived by her husband Ross, two children, Ryan Feliciano (Jen) of South Lake Tahoe and Eric Feliciano, of Fernley, Nv, three grandchildren, Jacob, Kieran and Ora and her beloved (late) cat, Katie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bear League in Homewood, Ca.
The family plans to celebrate Donna’s life privately at a favorite place near Mono Lake.
