South Tahoe tennis player earns scholarship

South Tahoe tennis player Sarah Jobbins was awarded first place for the Reno-Tahoe High School Senior Tennis Player Scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded to deserving high school seniors who have participated in the United States Tennis Association, high school tennis or other organized youth tennis programs in the Greater Truckee Meadow Area.

First-place winners, consisting of one male and one female, are each awarded $750 toward the college they will attend after high school. There is also a $500 second-place award given to one male and one female.

Other recipients of the scholarship are Garrett Kalt of Churchill County High School, Evan Carlson of McQueen High School of Andrea Jazmin Carbajal Infante from Sparks High School.
