South Tahoe JV baseball tops Dayton, 8-7

South Tahoe High School’s JV baseball team won its home game against Dayton on Wednesday.

The Vikings were leading 7-4 going into the sixth inning when Dayton scored three to tie the game at 7.

In the bottom of the sixth, Austin Allen led off with a double then advanced to third on a passed ball. Logan Brewer then laid down a bunt for the squeeze play to bring Allen home to take another lead.

Moises Cuevas shut Dayton down in the seventh to seal the game for an 8-7 South Tahoe win.

The win brings the Vikings to a 6-6 league record and 7-9 overall as they travel to Fernley for a doubleheader today.
