An annual South Shore summer favorite returns for its 24th year on Saturday and Sunday, June 10-11: the Valhalla Renaissance Faire.

“Romp through Elizabethan England, immerse yourself in an olde world adventure set in a beautifully wooded Camp Richardson.

“Rub elbows with nobility, pirates, barbarians and beautiful ladies. Take on thrilling shows featuring juggling, music, comedic storytelling and feats of incredible physical skills,” notes the website for the event.

Enjoy live sword fighting, jugglers, magicians, a variety of games, jousting, food, drink and more from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Sunday.

“Immerse yourself in games, theater and splendid Renaissance village and marketplace. Come in costume, or come as you are and enjoy a weekend of entertainment, feasting, arts and crafts, intrigue, battles and much more!” states the Camp Richardson website.

The event also features 100 merchants, providing the opportunity to purchase a mix of arts and crafts, jewelry, woodcrafts, ceramics, clothing and more.

Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, military and children ages 13-17, $8 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, and those under 6 years old enter for free.
