Looking for a night of laughs? Head to Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Saturday, April 1, when comedian Auggie Smith will perform two sets of stand-up that are sure to bring a grin to your face.
“When Auggie takes the stage, audiences across the country quickly realize that they’re in for an evening of riveting, take-no-prisoners stand-up comedy. During Auggie’s set, pop culture and political targets are dissected piece by piece into intelligently written manic rants.
“His seamless rapid-fire style has developed a loyal following across the country. He has spent most of the last two decades keeping a constant road schedule honing his craft and creating a truly memorable, relevant and constantly evolving live experience,” states the comedian’s online biography.
Smith’s achievements include placing second to fellow comic Mitch Hedberg at the 1997 Seattle Comedy Competition, an appearance on “Last Comic Standing” in 2007, making the finals in the 2009 Boston Comedy Festival and releasing the DVD “Cult Following” (and two CDs).
“His comedy rants are on heavy rotation on both XM and Sirius satellite radio, and can be seen on several popular YouTube videos, but none of these compare with seeing his live performance,” concludes the bio.
Tickets for both of Smith’s shows — which begin at 8 and 10 p.m. — start at $10 and are available for purchase online through http://www.hardrockcasinolaketahoe.com, where additional information is also available.
Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is located at 50 U.S. 50 in Stateline.
