Record-Courier staff report

Austin’s House and Carson City Toyota Scion invite the community to the seventh annual Cowboy Mardi Gras fundraiser 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Carson Valley Inn .

Carson City Toyota Scion donated $4,000 to sponsor the fundraiser and help local children in crisis.

“Donating back to the community is a 30-year-tradition at Carson City Toyota Scion,” said General Manager Dana Whaley. “It starts with our owner Dick Campagni and we are proud to assist worthy nonprofits like Austin’s House.”

The fundraiser features a barbecue buffet dinner, music, dancing, raffle prizes and a silent auction.

There will be a grand prize drawing for a Disneyland vacation package valued at $1,548. The package includes four Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets worth $137 each to visit both Disneyland Park and the Disney California Adventure Park plus a $500 Visa card for expenses. Disneyland Grand Prize tickets are $20 each from Austin’s House or from any member of the board of directors.

“The fabulous silent auction has wonderful donated prizes from local businesses,” organizers said. “It is great fun and for a great cause.”

The ticket donation for the Cowboy Mardi Gras Dinner & Party to benefit Austin’s House is $60. Only 200 tickets will be sold and less than 30 tickets are still available.
