Tahoe’s first-ever Comedy Cage Match is taking Hard Rock Hotel and Casino by storm on Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28.

“Eight go in, four move on and then there’s only one left standing,” states the venue’s website.

Competitors include Drew Barth, Lang Parker, Sam Demaris, Kris Shaw, Benjie Wright, Alex Mandelberg, Cory Michaelis and Susan “Cupcake” Jones.

Seattle-based Barth has been in the entertainment business since high school, but his career took off in college.

“A drama major at the University of Washington, his snarky and observational sense of humor made him appealing to audiences of all ages and a regular opener for national headliners,” states his Facebook biography.

“Before long, Drew was being booked at colleges, clubs and casinos up and down the West Coast.”

Parker began her comedy career in Wisconsin and headed to California 15 years ago.

“Lang’s impressive comedic timing, instant likability on and off camera and impressive writing skills gained her national attention on the Emmy-nominated NBC show ‘Last Comic Standing,’” notes her online biography.

You won’t want to miss this action-packed weekend of comedy, which showcases talent from across the country.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m. each night for 9 p.m. shows. Single-night tickets are available for $20, and two-day tickets are offered for $30.
