The whole family can partake in a day of activities in Meyers this Saturday, June 18.

The 13th annual South Lake Tahoe Optimist Club’s Day in Paradise takes place from 8-10 a.m. at Tahoe Paradise Park.

Day in Paradise includes duck races along with a barbecue, rib cook-off, beer garden, car show, silent auction and games for kids. A pancake breakfast kicks off the day from 8-10 a.m.



The event will also include music by Pre Flight and the Bison Bluegrass Band.

Entrance to Day in Paradise is free. Tickets for the duck races are available by calling 530-541-4700.



The South Lake Tahoe Optimist Club is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting young people in the community.

Tahoe Paradise Park is located at 1011 East San Bernardino Ave.

“On the banks of the Upper Truckee River is one of Tahoe’s little known gems,” according to a description of the park. “Tahoe Paradise Park provides numerous ways to spend a great lazy day.”
