Rock ‘n’ roll is the star this week as Southern California-based Hunter & The Dirty Jacks headlines Crystal Bay Casino on Friday, Jan. 19.

“Hunter & The Dirty Jacks are California-crafted rock & roll — like smoky whiskey with phosphorescent ice cubes in a blues-tinted glass,” states the band’s online biography.

The six-member group is comprised of frontman Hunter Ackerman, guitarists Jon Siembieda and Carmelo Bonaventura, bassist Aaron Barnes, drummer Brian Lara and vocalist Moana Avvenenti.

“Home grown from California… blues… rock… heady… Americana… roots… jammin’… sometimes acoustic… and always tall… better than describe it, take a listen and come see it live,” states Hunter & The Dirty Jacks’ Facebook biography.

The band is influenced by groups such as Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Gov’t Mule, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead and many more.

Hunter & The Dirty Jacks takes the stage at Crystal Bay Casino at 10 p.m.

The gig is free to attend for guests at least 21 years of age.
