MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa will offer four days of Cinco de Mayo starting Friday and running through the holiday.

The casino will offer deals on tacos, margaritas, Hornitas, Corona and sombreros throughout the weekend. Many of the “Cinco de Mayo Palooza” celebrations will take place starting 4 p.m. Saturday.

“Saturday’s main events feature live music from Cool Black Kettle and a taco eating challenge where willing contestants have 10 minutes to eat as many tacos as they can handle for a chance at the $1,000 prize,” according to a press release from promoters. “The contest is hosted by local TV personality Mike Peron and starts at 4 p.m.”

Spots in the taco-eating contest are limited to the first 12 participants with a $25 buy-in. New to the casino’s Cinco de Mayo celebration this year is a $1,000 lime toss where contestants will take aim to make a lime into a beer mug and win their share of $1,000 cash.
