World champion magician Joel Ward has returned to the Loft Theatre’s Magic Fusion show and performs through June 14.

“Joel Ward’s high-energy, original magic has astonished people throughout the world,” according to a press release for the show. “As he makes things appear and disappear, he presents award-winning magic by combining classical magic with a contemporary touch. Joel’s mind-boggling magical talent ranges from comical audience participation, to interactive close-up magic and flashy Las Vegas-styled illusions.”

Ward performed more than 500 shows at Stateline’s former Horizon Casino Resort and plays hundreds of shows per year.

“In 2009 Joel performed on NBC’s ‘The Bonnie Hunt Show,’ and was part of the series called ‘Masters of Illusion’ on MyNetworkTV. That same year Joel headlined the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus show ‘Boom A Ring,’ which toured the East Coast and Puerto Rico,” according to the release. “In January 2011 Joel made his first appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ and on Comedy Central’s ‘Tosh.0.’”

The show takes place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Tuesday, with additional 4:30 p.m. shows Saturday and Sunday.

Adult tickets are $27 plus fees. Tickets for those 16 and under are $19 plus fees.

The Loft Theatre is located in Heavenly Village near the corner of Bellamy Court and Heavenly Village Way in South Lake Tahoe.
