This weekend get ready to rock out with a Tahoe-based favorite: The Bread and Butter Band visits South Shore on Saturday, May 20.

“We are a mod podge, five-piece band based in South Lake Tahoe. Our sound ranges somewhere in the rock/funk/blues/folk/soul realm.

“Most of the band members grew up together in South Lake and the lead singer is a transplant from the Southern States,” states the band’s Facebook biography.

The Bread and Butter Band is made up of guitarist and vocalist Joel O’Connor, bassist Derek Zelewski, percussionist Tom Parodi, guitarist and vocalist Kyle Kirchubel and Lindsay Cheek on vocals, tambourine and rhythmic rain stick.

“We hold a deep respect for music and what it can do with the right mix of passion and practice.

“Come and support some live music and we will do our best to put everything we have out for you!” concludes the bio.

The Bread and Butter Band takes the stage at Stateline’s Lakeside Inn and Casino, located at 168 U.S. 50, at 9:15 p.m.

Can’t make it? Don’t fret: The band returns to the same venue next Saturday, May 27, at the same time.

Bread and Butter (as the group is commonly referred to) regularly performs across venues on Tahoe’s South Shore.
