Typically around this time of year, pray for snow parties begin to crop up all around the South Shore.

But with some snow already on the ground, one Stateline restaurant and bar is set to celebrate the start of the winter with a slightly different slant.

Lucky Beaver Bar & Burger will host its inaugural Yay for Snow Party at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25.

The night’s festivities at the Stateline stop include music by Lake Tahoe DJ, dancing from the Heavenly Angels, drink specials and prize giveaways including snowboards, apparel, Heavenly passes and more.

Ice luge shots will also be part of the party. For the uninitiated, a luge involves liquor being poured down a channel carved through a block of ice in the spirit of the Olympic sport of the same name.

Lucky Beaver Bar & Burger is located at 31 U.S. Highway 50, between CVS Pharmacy and Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, in Stateline.

The 24-hour sports bar opened in 2012 and is known for its half-pound hamburgers.
