Team USA WinterFest stops at Squaw Valley, celebrates Olympics

Get ready for the Olympics alongside participating athletes and fans of the games at Team USA WinterFest, which stops at Squaw Valley this weekend.

“This 13-stop tour makes its way across the country, landing in Squaw Valley on January 13 — bringing the excitement of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 to Team USA fans around the globe.

“The multi-stop interactive festival will include athlete meet and greets, a Team USA Social Media Truck, Curling Challenge and more,” states Squaw Valley’s website.

Team USA WinterFest also features Hershey’s s’mores samples, the Team USA Bobsled Boomerang, live music and apres-ski events.

“The Bobsled Boomerang will give fans the chance to experience what it’s like to be in an Olympic bobsled, while also capturing and sharing the moment on social media,” states a release from the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC).

“We have the most passionate fans in the world, and we are thrilled to capture the excitement of the upcoming games and bring it to our fans across the country through Team USA WinterFest,” said USOC CMO Lisa Baird.

Team USA WinterFest is free to attend and open to all ages. The fun kicks off at 10 a.m.
