When: Saturday, Nov. 25, 10 p.m.

Where: Crystal Bay Casino

Soul and rock music collide this weekend with San Franciscan artist Jack Mosbacher’s performance on the North Shore.

“His sound spans the gulf between the full-throated soul of Sam Cooke and Solomon Burke and the big hook sensibility of the modern roots rockers like Elvis Costello and Train,” states the artist’s online biography, which notes that Mosbacher is known for “high-energy live shows and upbeat tunes that celebrate life and love.”

Apart from The Jack Mosbacher Band’s 2016 release, “Sunny Songs for Shady People,” the musician is highly involved in social advocacy.

“Beyond music, he is passionate about human rights and international justice; his articles on democracy promotion have been featured in Foreign Affairs, The Washington Quarterly, and The Los Angeles Times and have been presented before the Council on Foreign Relations,” concludes the bio.

Catch the Northern California-raised performer at North Shore’s Crystal Bay Casino on Saturday, Nov. 25.

The gig, which is free to attend, begins at 10 p.m. in the venue’s Red Room.

Learn more about the show online at, and interact with Mosbacher at or on Facebook (@jackmosbacherband).

Crystal Bay Casino is found at 14 NV 28.
