Celebrity golf is back, and the annual celebrations surrounding the tournament will provide plenty to do over the next few days. Temperatures are forecast in the low 80s and minimal wind is expected. The weather should provide the perfect setting for scoring some autographs, soaking in the scene and enjoying the middle of summer at Lake Tahoe. Outside of the proceedings at the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe, here are a couple picks for the week:

1. Arty the Party

Arty performs Friday and Saturday nights at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe and is a South Shore staple for weekend entertainment. He often attracts players from the celebrity golf tournament to his stage, so if you’re looking for a celebrity sighting, Arty’s Party is a good place to start.

2. Rob Schneider

I was not expecting to hear a Plato reference during an interview with the star of “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo,” but I did, and it was great. Schneider brings his stand-up routine to MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa this Saturday, July 23. He has plenty of takes on the world around him, and you’re bound to hear a few of them Saturday while getting your laughs.

3. Outdoor Concerts

I can’t say I’m a huge fan of country music or the Eagles, but the biggest parties of the week will be found at the Harveys Outdoor Arena. Tim McGraw, Don Henley and Keith Urban each take to the stage this week and are sure to put on excellent shows.
