100s gather for weekend Wall Street protests in NV

The Associated Press

LAS VEGAS – Hundreds of protesters turned out for weekend Occupy Wall Street demonstrations across Nevada.

The Reno Gazette-Journal and Nevada Appeal of Carson City report Saturday rallies drew about 250 people in Reno and 75 people in Carson City.

Demonstrators waved placards and chanted as they marched in the downtown Reno casino area and outside the Legislative Building in Carson City.

They complained that corporate executives continue to get huge bonuses and salaries, while others have lost jobs and homes.

The Las Vegas Sun reports hundreds of demonstrators gathered Saturday on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas to protest corporate greed and the growing gulf between the haves and have-nots in the U.S.

Demonstrators there chanted “We got sold out, banks got bailed out,” and “This is what democracy looks like.”
