As Live at Lakeview comes to a close, what better way is there to end the summer than with two groups of South Lake Tahoe locals? Together for over 20 years, headliner Lavish Green brings a high-energy rock show to Lakeview Commons on Thursday, Aug. 25, at 4:30 p.m.

“We bring an original approach to finding places to sing and play our hearts and souls out,” states Lavish Green’s online biography.

The band’s blend of ska, reggae and rock are sure to have the audience jammin’ along the entire night.

“If you open your eyes, ears and mind to Lavish Green, there is something for everyone. Playing live, we give our 110 percent every time we take the stage, floor or jam room,” according to the event’s Facebook page.

Before Lavish Green takes the stage at 6 p.m., local blues and rock group Wesley Orsolic Band perform from 4:30-5:45 p.m.

“Wesley’s musical upbringing contains a large amount of funk, jazz and blues. His unique playing style reflects his ability to successfully combine the elements of all these styles,” states his online biography.

His newest album, “Carry On,” features musicians renown throughout the world.

Lakeview Commons is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Lakeview Avenue. Parking is limited, but the venue offers a free bike valet service each week. Additional parking is available at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center, located at 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd.
