AAUW presents camp and college scholarships to local women and girls

The South Lake Tahoe American Association of University Women presented awards during the group’s June 12 meeting to three local middle school girls to attend Tech Trek, a science and math camp at Stanford University.

The AAUW also awarded four scholarships to Lake Tahoe Community Collage graduates to pursue their education.

Tech Trek winners included Alexandria Marschak, Angelica Rodrigues and Emily Aminian. College scholarship winners were Kala Hudson, Janell Contaxis, Marnie Perschnick and Alicia Mason.
