A woman driving west on U.S. Highway 50 spun out of control Monday, hitting the side of a mountain with the rear of her vehicle, said Steve Anaya, public relations officer for California Highway Patrol.

Vickie Raybak, 32, was traveling west of the Twin Bridges area at 11:03 a.m. when she began to drift left of the double yellow line. She over-corrected her direction, causing her 1995 Mercedes Benz sedan to spin out of control. The road surface was reportedly dry.

Raybak, who is from Shingle Springs, went to Marshall Hospital in Placerville for complaints of back and neck pain.

The accident did not delay traffic.
