Friends of the Heller family, who on July 15 lost their home due to a fire, are reaching out in a time of need. A benefit car wash has been scheduled July 20 at Lake Tahoe Unified School District bus garage, next to South Tahoe Middle School on Al Tahoe Boulevard.

Volunteers from the South Tahoe Youth Council and Club Live will wash cars from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Heller family and replacing the damages caused by the tragic fire.

Organized by Anna Lambdin and Melody Taylor, the youth of South Lake Tahoe urges the community to help a good cause and get their cars washed, too.
