Adam Jensen: Keep the snowstorms rolling to Lake Tahoe

This week's storms should freshen up the slopes following the Thanksgiving holiday, which also saw stormy skies.

Another week, another storm at Lake Tahoe. While the base is building up, it’s still early in the season. Get our there and enjoy the new snow, but remember the rocks aren’t buried too deep. Stay safe out there. Here are some picks for the weekend at Lake Tahoe:

Warren Miller

As far as institutions in the ski industry go, Warren Miller is among the greats. The iconic ski filmmaker’s latest, “Chasing Shadows,” makes its South Shore debut this week. More information is available on page 4.

Bonham’s Zeppelin

The influence of Led Zeppelin’s music on rock and roll is undeniably. I’m no die-hard Led Zeppelin fan, but Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience has received rave reviews and Zeppelin certainly has more than enough songs to fill a set list. More information on the show is available on page 9.

Play in the snow

The National Weather Service expects up to a foot of snow to be atop the Sierra Crest by Friday morning. Cross-country ski areas are joining the downhill resorts in opening up. Whatever your flavor, there’s something to do outside this weekend at Lake Tahoe. Enjoy!
