Aging series addresses veterans’ benefits

The Aging & Caregiving Series discussion on Monday will provide information on the benefits of being a veteran.

All classes in the series are from 1-3 p.m. Mondays at Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel (formerly Embassy Suites) at 4130 Lake Tahoe Blvd. To register, call El Dorado County Family Caregiver Support Program at 530-621-6151 or 800-510-2020.

The six-week series which began April 7 is designed to provide instruction and support for persons 60 years and older, or caregivers who are or are planning to care for a family member or friend age 60 or older. All classes and materials are offered free, although donations are accepted.

Future classes include: April 28 — Legal Services; May 5 — Burial and Cremation; May 12 — Dealing with Feelings of Loss and Understanding Grief.

The series is sponsored in-part by Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, Harrah’s/Harvey’s, Starbucks, Barton Home Health and Hospice, N. CA. Alzheimer’s Association, El Dorado County, Senior Legal and Veteran’s Services and Autumn Burial and Cremation.
