Aimee LaFayette joins Parasol Board of Directors

The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation Board of Directors has appointed Aimee LaFayette to its board. Parasol is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors selected for demonstrating a high level of commitment to the Tahoe Region and a personal involvement in community engagement.
Aimee serves on the Sierra Nevada Horse Show Association and helps operate the local family business, Franktown Meadows Equestrian Facility. She coordinates and manages events, competitions and fundraisers including the annual Franktown Meadows Hunter Derby at the facility. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has a master’s degree in anthropology from the University of Nevada, Reno. Currently she is enrolled in the University of Nevada, Reno’s Doctoral Program of Anthropology. As an avid equestrian Amiee enjoys competing in regional and natural hunter/jumper horse show competitions.
“We are extremely fortunate to have Aimee join Parasol’s Board,” said David Hardie, Chairman. “As our program committee chair her personal knowledge of the local community and experience with nonprofit organizations will be strong assets to support Parasol’s growth in the Tahoe region.”
