SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – South Lake Tahoe police released surveillance footage Tuesday of a man suspected of robbing a South Shore souvenir shop March 5.
The man walked into Lake Tahoe Souvenirs about 7:45 p.m., pushed a clerk at the store against a cabinet and took almost $1,000 from the cash register, according to a statement from police.
The man then fled to a vehicle in the parking lot, where an “accomplice driver” was waiting, according to the statement.
Police believe surveillance footage from the nearby CVS Pharmacy show the man involved the souvenir shop robbery.
A witness described the suspect as an unshaven white male adult, 40 to 50 years old, about 6 feet tall, with average build wearing a dark gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt and a black knit cap.
Police ask anyone with information regarding the man in the footage to call Secret Witness at 530-541-6800 or Detective Jeff Roberson at 530-542-6100.
