American Legion plans Sept. 11 memorial
A memorial in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001, will be presented Sept. 11 by American Legion Post 795. The ceremony will take place at the American Legion Post, 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd., across from the Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church.
The presentation will begin at 12:15 p.m. and last approximately 30 minutes to allow time for people to attend on their lunch hour. Participants will include the South Lake Tahoe Police Department, South Lake Tahoe Fire Department, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department and Margo Osti, who will sing. Cake and coffee will be offered following the service.
