An evening of poetry and wine at campus library

The Writers’ Series continues at Lake Tahoe Community College this fall with author Denise Duhamel on Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. in the campus library.

Duhamel’s poetry books include “Two and Two, Mille et un Sentiments,” “Queen for a Day,” and many others. Her work has been anthologized in more than 50 volumes, including six editions of “The Best American Poetry.” She has read her work on National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered” and Bill Moyer’s PBS television special “Fooling With Words.” A winner of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Poetry, she is an associate professor at Florida International University in Miami.

The event is free and open to the public. The college is located off Al Tahoe Boulevard at One College Drive.
