Anderson, Hight podium at Roxy Chicken Jam

South Shore pro snowboarders Jamie Anderson and Elena Hight claimed podium results at the Roxy Chicken Jam last weekend at Mammoth Mountain.

Anderson won the women’s slopestyle title and the $15,000 first prize by executing a boardslide 720 off a rail and complemented that move with a backside 540, switchback 540 and cab 540.

Anderson topped the podium ahead of Jana Mayen-Weatherby and Jenny Jones.

Hight, a two-time Olympic snowboarder, finished third and earned $5,000 in the RCJ’s women’s superpipe competition.

She finished behind Kelly Clark and and Rana Okada.
