Andrew Fire burns south of Reno

A fire broke out Wednesday afternoon south of Reno in Pleasant Valley, burning several structures and closing main highways in the area.

The Andrew Fire was reported at about 1 p.m., and has grown to 3,500 acres, threatening several homes in the area. A mandatory evacuation was ordered for residents in the path of the flames.
