Annual Kiwanis Crab Feed set for Friday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe Sunrisers is hosting its 29th annual Mid Winter Beach Party and Crab Feed at 6 p.m. Friday at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe Convention Center.

Voted “Best of Tahoe” several times, the event features all-you-can-eat crab and dancing to the music of A Class Act. There will also be silent auction items, donated by area merchants.

The Crab Feed is the club’s major fundraiser and all money raised is donated to a variety of community programs in South Lake Tahoe. Past beneficiaries include Special Needs Children’s Christmas Party, Tahoe Youth & Family Services, Women’s Center, Foster Family Service, Family Resource Center, Boys & Girls Club, CASA, Sierra Recovery, Sober Grad Night, Scholarships, Christmas Cheer, Douglas County Search & Rescue, LTUSD Drug Store Project, LTCC Kids College, Kahle Community Center, Soroptimist Summer Reading Program and Key Club, among others.
