The sixth annual Lake Tahoe Home and Garden Show returns Friday and Saturday, April 28-29, at South Tahoe Middle School.

The event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, in the multipurpose room, according to a press release.

Admission is free and each attendee will receive a free door prize ticket. The first 500 in the door will also receive a small gift donated by the vendors and Golden Bear Events, which produces the show.



There will be a mixer in the South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce booth from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday. Local business owners and chamber members are invited to attend.

Free coffee and a donut will be offered to attendees as long as supplies last, on Saturday morning, courtesy of Gold Sponsor ServPro of E. El Dorado County and W. Lake Tahoe. A free children’s planting area is available in the LIT Garden Supply booth and free face painting is being provided by Upgrade Your Party.



Several local nonprofits have been given free space and will be providing educational materials and offering goods for sale. The Lake Tahoe Humane Society is offering a silent auction item donated by South Tahoe Refuse, with all the proceeds going to that charity. The South Lake Tahoe Cancer League, Friends of the Library, and the Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless were also given free space.

This family friendly show features vendors that not only offer goods and services for the home and garden, but also for pets, vehicles,and people. Fire safety, defensible space, gardening tips and supplies, and water conservation details will be available. Approximately 1,200 people are expected to attend.
