Another sunny, warm weekend
A nice weekend ahead for our area although there may continue to be some smokey conditions at times depending on fire activity and wind direction at the upper levels.
We can expect mostly sunny skies apart from the smoke and some cloudiness showing up during the afternoon hours but the chances for any showers or thunderstorms are pretty much non-existent.
High temperatures will warm into the 70s each day with lower to mid 80s in the valleys of Alpine and eastern Nevada counties.
Overnight lows will cool into the 40s with 30s common around Truckee and Meyers with perhaps lower 50s along spots on the north and east shores of Tahoe.
Winds through the weekend will be fairly tame with afternoon westerlies in the 5 to 15 mph range.
Remember the bike event this Sunday and take extra care if traveling around the lake.
The weather otherwise looks good with temperatures starting in the upper 40s and warming to the mid 70s by the end of the event.
Have a great weekend!
