Arline Marie Johnston

Arline Marie Johnston, 68, passed away Nov. 2, 2005, at Barton Memorial Hospital. She fought a long and courageous battle with lymphoma and was brave to the end.

Arline was born Nov. 22, 1936, near Los Angeles, and had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe since 1999. A homemaker, Arline was an accomplished water color painter. She enjoyed traveling and had toured all over the country with her husband in their motor home for eight years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved cocker spaniel, Spreckles.

She is survived by her husband, Ned Johnston of South Lake Tahoe; mother, Cora Christensen of South Lake Tahoe; daughters, Anna Brunak of Manhattan Beach, Calif., and Lisa Blanco of Sarasota, Fla.; grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron and Amanda; and her dog, Spreckles. She was predeceased by her father and a brother.

Services will be private for the family, followed by cremation. Should there be a memorial service a notice will be given.
