Armed robbery reported at U.S. Bank on Kingsbury Grade

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Wednesday afternoon robbery of the U.S. Bank located at 229 Kingsbury Grade in Stateline.

The incident happened around 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

“A male suspect described a Caucasian male, approximately in his mid 20’s, [6 feet] tall with blonde hair, wearing a black fleece type jacket and white shorts entered the business and passed a note to a teller,” according to the release. “The suspect reportedly had a handgun.



“There are two conflicting reports of suspect vehicle descriptions. One witness reported a black four-door vehicle with a single occupant waiting nearby. A second person reported the suspect vehicle may be a silver or champagne colored hatchback.”

How much money was taken from the bank is unknown. The FBI is assisting in the investigation, according to the release.
