A man suspected in a string of South Shore armed robberies was arrested Wednesday after South Tahoe police officers received an anonymous tip of his whereabouts.
Curtis Allen Elliot of South Lake Tahoe, was arrested at the Old Stage Mobile Home Park on Emerald Bay Road at 11 a.m., said Sgt. Brian Williams. Three search warrants were issued after the tipster said the 20-year-old suspect was at one of three locations.
Elliot surrendered without a struggle and was booked into El Dorado County Jail on a $250,000 bail. He has been charged with six counts of armed robbery.

The Tahoe Market, Swiss Mart & Gas, American Oil Number One and Liquor are among the convenience stores robbed in South Lake Tahoe since Oct. 24. In each robbery a gun was used but was not fired.
In other news:
n A 34-year-old Stateline man, missing since Monday after telling family and friends that he was going cross country skiing, was found dead late Wednesday from an apparent self-inflicted shotgun wound.
David Palmer was discovered by El Dorado County sheriff’s deputies in a cabin near Camp Richardson, where his vehicle had been located on Monday.
El Dorado County Search and Rescue team members dispatched a search for Palmer on Tuesday.
