Armenian Apostolic Church to celebrate Holy Badarak

Provided to the Tribune

With the difficult times of stress and loss that some of our community members now face, the Armenian Apostolic Church thinks it is important to go ahead with the celebration of the Holy Badarak on July 1.

Unless the fire moves into the township of South Lake Tahoe and makes the area unsafe, or the roads are closed for emergency vehicles, we will continue as scheduled, 11 a.m. in the banquet room of the Lake Tahoe Pizza Company. If you would like further information, or want to confirm closer to Sunday, don’t hesitate to call the parish council chairman at (530) 577-1391 or (530) 416-0480.

If you would like to make donations to the fire victims, you are welcome to bring items such as clothes, blankets and nonperishable food with you to the Holy Badarak, and we will ensure they reach the people in need. We hope to see as many people as possible on Sunday. The support and strength of the entire community is so important in these trying times.

We pray that God protects our community and those brave men and women fighting the fires. We pray that our Lord may comfort the people that have lost their homes. And we thank God for the good and generous nature we see shining through with the concern and support people are providing for one and other.
