Arrest made at Exxon station

With a gun drawn, deputies Sunday afternoon arrested a man on suspicion of domestic violence at the Exxon gas station on Kingsbury Grade.

Steven Wasserman, 31, of Stateline, was taken into custody at gunpoint because deputies believed he was armed with a rifle. It turned out he did not have a weapon, said Douglas County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Britton.

A woman reported the domestic violence Saturday at 8:42 p.m. from a home on Quaking Aspen Lane. Wasserman avoided arrest Saturday, leaving the home before deputies arrived.

On Sunday, investigators got a tip that Wasserman was back at the Quaking Aspen residence. They arrested him after he drove from the home in a pickup towing a boat.

Wasserman has a criminal history that includes assault with a deadly weapon and aiming a gun at another person, Britton said.
