Ten art galleries in South Lake Tahoe will host an Art Walk from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday the third weekend of every month. The next event is scheduled for June 17 and 18.

The Art Walk is a self-paced walking tour open to the general public with free admittance. People can meander through Marriott’s Heavenly Village and Raley’s Village Center discovering artwork and fun. Offerings will range from live artist appearances to music, food, wine or beverages. On each Art Walk weekend there will be a drawing for a $250 gift certificate to one of the 10 participating galleries for participants who visit all 10.

With 10 galleries participating, all within a two-block radius, participants will find paintings, photography, sculpture, one-of-a-kind furniture, blown glass, jewelry, ceramics, fiber art and gift items. Maps for the Art Walk will be available at any of the participating galleries or by calling (530) 544-4ART.

Participating galleries include A Frame of Mind, Artifacts, Black Pearl Gallery, Fire and Rain Gallery, Jon Paul Gallery, Marcus Ashley Galleries, Oh My Goddard, Sun Art Gallery, Tahoe Country and Wyland Galleries.
