Tahoe Art League members will participate with Heavenly Village in their Village Art & Jazz Fest on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19 and 20. TAL member artists will exhibit their work, which will be available for purchase, between the gondola and Lake Tahoe Boulevard. There will also be a live demonstration of throwing on a potters’ wheel by Heidi Humbird.

Come enjoy a stroll through the village and view the talents of friends and neighbors, while enjoying a glass of wine and music by Summer Wind and By Ear.

While at Heavenly Village be sure to enjoy the “bears,” part of Tahoe’s 2006 Summer CeleBEARtion. There are 12 bears at the Village, seven of which were created by TAL artists. They are Donna Hughes’ Carmen BEARanda, Georgene John’s Tahoma BEAR, Caryn Hughes’ TimBEAR and CubeBEARism, Sheila and Mary Griffin’s Star BEARER and Susan Krieg’s Bridesmaid BEAR. There are 50 bears in all. If you don’t have a map for the CeleBEARtion, be sure to pick one up.

They will be available at several locations at the fest, including the TAL credit card sales table.
