Artist to offer beginning classes
Watercolor and oil painter Teri Sweeney will be offering beginning classes in both mediums starting in South Lake Tahoe on Jan. 7 and Gardnerville on Jan. 8
The classes will be offered in a six-week workshop format, with the objective of students learning how to interpret what they are seeing in a reference photo and translating what they see into their selected painting medium, Sweeney stated in a press release. Basic techniques will be demonstrated in both mediums with exercises the first two weeks to prepare for working on an actual painting for the remainder of the session.
Sweeney is a nationally recognized artist who has participated in shows throughout the west, including the C. M. Russell Art Auction in Great Falls, Montana; Cowgirl Up! in Wickenburg, Arizona and The San Dimas Invitational Western Art Show in San Dimas, California.
For more information about the classes, call Teri at 775-790-9261.
