Local artist Endre Peter Darvas will host a demonstration Wednesday at the Tahoe Art League’s monthly meeting.

Darvas is known for combining versatility with brilliant expressiveness and flawless technical quality, according to a press release. He utilizes bold, spontaneous strokes with a mastery of color, light and texture which makes his canvases alive with reality and expression. His career as a professional artist spans about 40 years, beginning with his first one-man show at age 16. Since then, Darvas has had 90 major exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad.

The meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. at South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. It is free and open to the public.
